Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai to pair again

Akshay Kumar is going to shed his Katrina Kaif bug and is all set to co-star again with Aishwarya Rai after a long hiatus.The two happening and glamorous stars will come together for Vipul Shah ‘s forthcoming production, “ Action Replay.”

Vipul Shah had a fetish for casting Akshay Kumar in all his movies but casting Aishwarya is a rarity. The last movie Aishwarya Rai starred with Akshay Kumar was Khakee.

In Khakee, Akshay Kumar played the role of a policeman. In Action Replay, the movie is more of a period drama genre. The plot is all hush hush but it has been revealed that the setting will be Mumbai of the 1950’s.

“Action Replay will combine a contemporary setting with a period look where Mumbai of the 1950s will be recreated. Nitin Desai will do the set design. Aish Hurries To Be With Nervous Abhishek

Aishwarya Rai is currently wrapping her Robot film shoot in hurry to arrive back in India, just to be with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan on October 1st for his film, Drona's premiere in Mumbai.

Confirming us the news, Aish's secretary Hari Singh said, "Aishwarya was in Peru till last week for a song shoot of Shankar's Endhiran (formerly called Robot) starring South super star Rajnikant.Now presently she is shooting for the film in the rain forests of Brazil. She wants to be with Abhishek's side on his big day on October 1st. She is as excited as him to check him out in his first super hero avatar."

One can remember, Abhishek making a late entry for Aishwarya's Jodhaa Akbar premiere held on February 14th at the Imax Multiplex in Wadala, Mumbai.Abhishek was shooting in Jaipur that time for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Dilli 6. He was to reach on time but a flight delay made him arrive at the venue at around 11:30 pm just when the film was about to finish.

But Aish won't be late and will attend the premiere along with Abhi. As Hari Singh has added, "Aishwarya will be reaching Mumbai a night before the premiere."A source further added, "Before the grand premiere, a special show will be kept just for the Bachchans. Amitabh and Jaya early next week at a Mumbai preview theatre by director Goldie Behl.

Bachchans wrap up US leg of 'Unforgettable Tour'

Bollywood mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan , son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan ended their tour of five cities of the United States with an energetic mega performance in New York on Friday.

Bachchan family was also accompanied by Preity Zinta , Madhuri Dixit , Ritesh Deshmukh , choreographer Shiamak Davar and other 130 performers on their 'Unforgettable Tour' which began from Toronto on July 19.Talking to reporters, the star family said, though the tour was hectic, it gave them an opportunity to spend quality time together, something which is hard to find when they are busy shooting for movies.

It was a massive venture, they agreed, saying that each show cost around one million dollar to organise but it ran to full houses.They shared their happiness of staying together and spending time under one roof during the tour.
